Well, I decided to drop into the Greenville Comic Con today to see what it was all about. It was a small show, so there was only one section of Artist Tables, although it included a table for a Woman's Roller Derby Team known as the URGE!
URGE: Upstate Roller Girl Evolution.
I'll probably do some projects for them just because they need some pimpin out. I'm so charitable! Of course, I'll probably go to their amateur night to see if I can loose a few more teeth. I need a new head injury anyway ... and I'm crazy like that so I just might strap on some roller skates myself. Hell it's on my Bucket List now so I have to do it.
And, no I haven't seen the Drew Barrymore Roller Derby movie YET ... so that's not why I want to do this. So, don't try to tell me that.
Anyway, back to the convention. Aside from the few artist tables ... the rest of the convention was made up of Comic Book dealer tables. All comic book stores with boxes and boxes of comics. I scored quite a few GI Joe comics for my collection for 50c each! I also got a copy of the Graphic Novel of "Freddy VS Jason VS Ash" since I got the first issue of the sequel, I had to see the first run of it.
Anyway, they were hosting the convention with Door Prizes given hourly. The convention started at 10 and would be over at 4. So, I didn't think much of it as I tossed my name into the box. I didn't even plan on staying the entire time because well ... it was so tiny there wasn't much to do! I was about to leave when I remembered I wanted to ask the guy who runs Heroes Convention Charlotte a question. I walked to his dealer table and opened my mouth to ask him my question when I heard my name called. Eh? :O_o: Was my reaction ... and I asked the guy "Did they just call Christine Weiser?" The guy laughed and said yes, so I worked my way around to the announcement table to recieve my prize. They handed me a Thor Comic. That's numbered the Marvel Variant Edition 600, Direct Edition, bagged in mint with a price tag on it that says $75.00. O_O Now, I only collect a select few comic titles, and Thor isn't one of them. But, it's a $75.00 comic! I'm like ... :omg: Thank you ...
I'm staring at the thing now trying to figure out what I plan on doing with a $75 dollar comic from a series I'm not collecting. Hmmm. EBay comes to mind ... but I don't think I'd get that much for it. I could barter it off at another convention ... Hmm. What to do what to do? If I look closely at the orange price tag, I see the number on the white tag under it, to be over $100.oo for the comic. Jeeze how much is this thing worth? Well, I just looked up the price for the issue they gave me on my comic collection website. O_O The price for this Mint comic comes to $200.oo!! :faint: It is the most expensive comic in my collection to date. Which brings the total worth of my collection, not including my recent purchases from the last 3 months ... up to $1,376.92.
All in all, I paid $3.oo for a ticket to a tiny local convention and walked away with much more than I paid for!

Well, after my forums were over run by spam bots for months, while I kept trying to keep up and delete the users and threads, I gave up. I deleted the entire set of forums and I'm now hosting the forums somewhere else.
To prevent bots this time all users must now be approved. I'd prefer to determine if you are in fact a human before I allow you free run to post on the forums.
I've set up a feature to link to your facebook, myspace, deviantart, and youtube pages. Feel free to check it out and give suggestions if you like. I always consider suggestions.
There is an event calendar built into the new forums. I decided that since even forum users can add events to it, that I would replace the calendar on my site with it. I went ahead and added a ton of conventions in the US to the calendar. A years worth to be exact. When you look at the calendar the events are listed with their locations so you can easily check out any that are local to you.
Con and Event Calendar
You can also link up to your 100 Theme challenges in the 100 theme challenge forum.

I've finished classes and now have an Associates Degree in Multimedia from ITT Tech. I've graduated with Highest Honors, a GPA of 3.83, and I have Perfect Attendance for 4 out of 8 quarters. I am sporting Highest Honors for 4 Quarters and Honors for the other 4. I was president of the Multimedia club and a member of the NTHS. I was also honored in the Who's Who among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
I feel quite accomplished but sad. I will miss the people I met at the school; students and staff alike.
Now I will move forward and finally bring all of my projects to the front of the stove. Look forward to a big boom in releases from me now that all the school work is out of the way. This is now going to be my full time job.

I have a new MySpace page and well I deleted the old one to make way for it. I mean I wanted to keep my extension of EmeraldTokyo.
It is now a MySpace Musician account. I put a shortened version of one of my techno songs from my upcoming album on my new myspace page. The CD will go on sale this summer. I'm still fussy about some of my songs ... so It'll get released when I'm actually pleased with them.
If you want to hear the one I was pleased enough with to share now check my MySpace account. Oh and if you were a friend of mine on MySpace you might want to re-add me!

Right now I happen to be standing at the computers in the Georgia Tech Hotel where I will be staying until tomorrow evening. I am currently attending the Free, College based, Anime Convention held in Atlanta GA every spring.
I had fun standing in the registration line for FOUR HOURS ... My laptop actually provided some serious advertizment and entertainment for the whole time. I stood, with my Caramelldansen Flash Video playing over and over at full screen size for everyone in line. I swear to you I must have gotten over 200 people started doing the Caramelldance!
I've done CosPlay before ... but not many people gave me very much attention with the costumes. But people were snapping pictures of me with the Laptop like crazy! Best Costume ever!
Ok. Now I'm about to seek out the nearest Wal-Mart with my friends to find swim suits so we can hop in the HOT TUB! Life is GOOOOOOOOOD!

I went in and updated the shop and added more merchandice! Each item in the shop links outward to the 3rd party website that actually hosts that particular item. So if you click on one of my t-shirts you'll go to the CafePress page where you can actually purchase the item. One of the newest editions is a set of Bumper Stickers for you car. Check them out because I'd love for you to stick one to your bumper for me!

It's nice to have the time to update a few things. I lost my copy of the program Tierazon awhile back and when I went to download it from it's host site ... the host site is gone! *GASP!* Oh no! That was my favorite fractal program! -=sob=- But, never fear for DJ always holds on to copies of the programs we get here at Emerald Angel Entertainment. He found a backup copy and sent it right to me. I generated a handful of new fractals in celebration and decided to share them! I added them to the gallery just now! Check them out.

I'm currently re-filming all of my how to draw video tutorials at your request! This time I plan on going more in depth with each lesson, just as you desire, while teaching you how to create work like the pros! There will be downloadable worksheets to help you learn faster! I'll even cover perspective, Realistic, and Western Comic styles along with the Anime/Manga! Where else can you get all that for free?
Thanks to all my fans who gave me feedback on my first set of video drawing tutorials! Keep giving me more information and feedback so I can keep coming back with what you want!

I decided it was time for a better update. This time I switched out some of the art in my digital coloring, photography, photomanipulation, and traditional galleries. I yanked down the how to draw tutorials since I've mocked up some better ones. The re-fliming for the video tutorials will begin soon.
I removed the flash intro from the main page because it was pulling too much on the bandwidth when people visit the site. I'll make a new one according to the feedback I get from everyone. It'll be posted up when I purchase a new hosting package with a larger bandwidth package.
I'm putting finishing touches on Dressup Chrissy 2 and Chrissy's Quest. Since I came up with so many new features for dressups I'm fixing the play problems with Dressup Yoda and Dressup Chrissy 1. I've also decided to redo The Emerald Angel's Flash Coloring Book to include new colors and new pictures. I'll be showing off my new flash games for my Capstone project at ITT Tech then I'll release them on the web. No specific date set yet. Yeah ... I'm gonna make you suffer. LOL!
On a side note ... I finally got the News Archives up!

I apologise for being away for so long! I haven’t even updated the portfolio since I remade the website. I just now updated the 3D gallery to reflect a few of the new pieces I did while in school. I’m sorry I don’t have more to throw in here right now.
All I have to offer is some great news. First off, I’ll be graduating in March, and if I push it I’ll be graduating with HIGHEST HONORS! OMG! Wish me luck.
Secondly, I’m currently planning to re-film all of my How To Draw tutorials. They will be more in depth. The art will be much better (since I got so much complaining the first time) and I will film more than the basics. Look forward to them this spring.
I’m finishing up production on a few flash games … the ones you’ve been waiting for. Enough said.
Finally, we are looking into the production of our FIRST full length 3D Feature film. Yeah it’ll actually be our first 3D cartoon and if things go well we might even spin off a few extras to go with it. We’re currently checking into the software, hardware, and overall costs before we go further. Keep your fingers crossed.
Luv,
Chrissy.
