The Emerald Tokyo Anime Club is finally returning. We will be showing a feature film, from a very well known anime studio, every Friday evening at 5PM for the entire summer! There will be free popcorn, drinks, and various Japanese treats such as Pocky and Ramune to try as you learn about the culture of the nation that flipped our pop culture scene upside down. The event will be hosted by Calvary Tyrone, on Pennsylvania Ave, a few doors down from the Main Moon Chinese Restaurant.
Our first movie will be on July 6th, 2018. There will be a Bamboo Wish Tree at the venue to celebrate the Tanabata Festival, which is held on July 7th all across Japan. So, write a wish or prayer on one of the provided slips of paper and hang it on the Bamboo Wish Tree with a ribbon. We hope to see the tree filled with colorful strips of paper before the night is over! See you there!
